Features: Offset Friends are a new hybrid design created to complement the Technical Friend range. Offsets were developed by mixing pairs of cams in ascending order 0/0.5/, 0.5/1 etc and provide placements in situations previously unattainable. Although they will fit in parallel cracks (the mix of cams still having significant overlap) Offsets are remarkable in their versatility, fitting in outward flared cracks, combined outward/downward flaring cracks, very irregular cracks and pockets. Offsets share all the features of the Technical Friend range, the definitive 13.75 degree cam angle, passive strength Cam Stops and Impact Modified Nylon floating Trigger and Stem Frame. Offsets have some very reassuring characteristics, in outward flaring vertical cracks they can be positioned with the stem in the optimum direction for loading the cams, rather like a nut. Once placed, the differential cam positions resist walking and rope-induced rotation. You will be amazed how versatile Offsets are, not only in esoteric placements but also just for general use as an addition to your normal rack of cams. They extended the range of protection possibilities into locations unprotectable with parallel units without losing versatility in all types of placements.
